NCT
New Commercial Tool
The daily workbench for Credit Agricole bank employees - analytics, loans, tasks, client records and opportunities in one enterprise Angular application, rewritten from AngularJS.
Contribution
- Rewrite of the legacy AngularJS application to modern Angular
- Frontend feature development across nearly every release - loans, opportunities, client synthesis, task workflows
- Built the companion admin application handling permissions and customizations
NCT - the New Commercial Tool - is the application Credit Agricole’s commercial staff open in the morning and keep open all day: client records, loans, tasks, opportunities, analytics and client-synthesis views, all in one place instead of scattered across systems.
I’ve been on the project since 2020, on the frontend side throughout. The first major chapter was a full rewrite of the legacy AngularJS application to modern Angular - carried out while the bank kept using the product - and the codebase has been upgraded continuously since, sitting on Angular 15 today. From there I was involved in almost every release: feature work around loan handling, opportunity creation and editing, client synthesis and task workflows, against a Java Spring backend I didn’t own but had to integrate with cleanly.
Alongside the main application I built its admin counterpart - the tool the bank uses to manage permissions and customize NCT itself - which is its own exercise in modelling who may see and do what in an enterprise banking product.
The project is mature now: feature-complete, stable, and no longer in daily development - which is its own kind of outcome for six years of enterprise frontend work.
Outcomes
- Legacy AngularJS frontend fully rewritten to modern Angular (now on Angular 15)
- Mature, feature-complete product in everyday use at the bank
